Nordic (Scandinavian) walking

The Nordic Walking has become popular in the end of the 90’s and is a walk outdoors with specially designed poles. During walking the arms and the legs move back and forth, as at walking, but the movements are more intense.

The Nordic Walking in the Carpathian Mountains allows spending up to 600 kkal/hour, which is twice as much as in normal walking on the level ground without poles. About 90% of muscles of the whole body are trained.
