Freeride and extreme in the Carpathians on the slopes of the Borzhavi Range

Resort Pilipets in the Carpathians – a cradle and a real paradise for freeriders. The length of off-piste descents in Piliptic on the slopes of the Borzhavi Range up to 1500 meters above sea level exceeds the length of the marked ski slopes (more than 20 kilometers) by an order of magnitude.

More than 8 kilometers of serpentine freeride descent from the Borzhavi Range along the slopes of the Gemba Mountains (1498 meters above sea level) and Magura-Zide (1,505 meters above sea level) are deservedly considered one of the most spectacular in the Carpathians.
Types of freeriding skiing in the resort of Pilipets in the Carpathians:

Lightweight freeride is the simplest and most popular in the Piliptic freeride, when skiers and snowboarders climb Mount Gemba on the lift, and then leave untouched by the snow in the direction of the forest and the Shipot waterfall.
Backcountry freeriders make a pedestrian ascent from the top station of the chair lift to the top of the Borzhavsky ridge with further descent on skis and snowboards on unprepared slopes.
Ketskiing – the ratrak of the resort Pilipets throws skiers (snowboarders) from the chairlift to the top of Gemba in the Carpathians, where vacationers want to feel extreme going down the fluffy snow directly to the center of the resort.
Snowmoboarding – the movement of a snowboarder through the snow on a rope connected to a snowmobile.
Please note that freeride is a very extreme type of active winter holiday. An obligatory condition for freeriding should be good weather, the ability to perfectly control the board (skis) on any surface, the possession of basic mountaineering and rescue skills, and especially on the Borzhavsky ridge – compliance with avalanche safety rules.
